JAKARTA 31 March 2025 – PT Ekspor Indonesia participated in the international Indonesia – Netherlands Trade Gateway Forum organized by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. This event represents a strategic step in expanding export market access to Europe, particularly the Netherlands, which serves as one of the main trading hubs in the European Union.
During the forum, Miftah Farid highlighted that Indonesia’s export opportunities are becoming increasingly promising through the Indonesia EU CEPA, which has the potential to reduce tariffs to as low as 0% for various products.
The forum emphasized several key Indonesian export commodities that are in high demand in the European market, including coffee, cocoa, wood products, fisheries, and coconut derivatives. In addition, industrial sectors such as chemicals, metals, and electronic equipment are also experiencing positive growth trends, particularly in the Dutch market. This presents significant opportunities for Indonesian businesses to enhance their competitiveness in the global market.
PT Ekspor Indonesia’s participation in the forum also provided valuable opportunities to connect directly with international buyers, gain insights into market demands, and take part in export development initiatives such as the Export Development Program (EDP). This program focuses on improving human resources, product development, and global market penetration strategies.
On the other hand, the importance of meeting international standards such as HACCP, halal certification, and traceability systems was also highlighted as a key factor in ensuring Indonesian products remain competitive in the European market.
In his remarks, Iffan Izzulhaq, representing HIPMI Export Center, emphasized that the forum reflects the importance of strong partnerships between Indonesia and the Netherlands in creating tangible business opportunities. He also expressed appreciation to all stakeholders, including government representatives, Dutch partners, and business actors who have contributed to strengthening bilateral collaboration.
Through this forum, business players are expected to leverage the momentum to build new partnerships, gain market insights, and take concrete steps to expand exports to Europe.
